__How long does it take to learn Kitesurfing?__

On average students need 8-12h to get up on the board and ride, however, this greatly depends on individuals. We recommend you commit to a minimum of 3 days of lessons in order to learn to ride. A typical kite lesson day consists of 3 hours class in the morning and 2 hours class in the afternoon (one kite day is about 5 hours of kitesurfing).

__Top Tips__
- For a better experience, you should be reasonably comfortable in the water if you want to learn to kitesurf.
- Good balance and core strength can make learning to kitesurf a whole lot easier!
- Have a play on a board or try wakeboarding to get a headstart.
- If you have any injuries or medical conditions, check with your doctor first and notify your kite instructor.

The story of the Plantation Estate Pattiyagama dates back to a coffee plantation in the 18th Century established by a Welsh planter Dominic Elwes. Sadly, the coffee blight Hemeleia Vastatrix which spread in the 1870s put an end to coffee plantations.

After the protagonist of Ceylon Tea, James Taylor, set sail to Ceylon, the Primal Tea plantation emerged in Ceylon and claimed field No 07 in Loolecondera. This regal embellishment led Ceylon to be the primary Tea producing country under Her Majesty Queen Victoria’s Era.

While on his endeavour to establish Tea plantations in Ceylon, Taylor fell in love with Loolecondera Estate which adjoins the Pattiyagama Estate where he marked his name in gold as the pioneer of the legendary Ceylon Tea. This made the central hill country of Ceylon a piece of heaven on earth.
