Great spot in the middle of nature to explore for canyoning, rafting and other experiances. Superbe guides to help you and your children with safety in mind. Thanks for the great stay we had, kids have been thrilled.

Came here with teenagers and they had a blast canyoning, rafting and canoeing. The guides, the cooks and the camp staff are all very kind, warm and willing to help. The guides are also very safety conscious and competent, they are certified by UK bodies for everything they do. The camp is great too, even though the road is only 50m back, you're by the river and can only hear it and the living things and the occasional people floating down. The river is remarkably clean too, especially considering how many people are around.

We had a wonderful stay of 2 days at Wanakaset. The Glamping offers a couple of rooms with a view over the jungle. It has one room with a 180 degree view over the jungle. Same view is there one story down from the joint room below. What a view, the birds and monkeys are around you. We had fun when the monkeys were playing at and in the pond. The staff is truly amazing. They offered me a coffee early morning while i was up early for birdwatching. They serve vegetarian local meals which are prepared with ingredients from the jungle. If you can get over the luxury of a swimming pool and a menucard, then this is an excellent spot to relax and enjoy nature.

Had a lovely stay here for four nights. Totally isolated and completely surrounded by nature. The canyoning and whitewater rafting were both beautiful and fun. Would recommend staying here if you’re looking for a nice nature detox. The staff were nice and helpful and it was really quiet at night expect for the sound of the river

This is one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had, especially considering the very high price of over Rs. 34,000 for a so-called “basic room.” The room quality and service are absolutely NOT worth this amount. When booking, we were clearly told that dinner buffet was included. This turned out to be completely false. There was NO buffet at all. We were served one plate only with a small portion of chicken spaghetti and some vegetables. That’s it. No choice, no variety, no refill – only one serving. There was no dessert served. When I asked for dessert, they gave one small chocolate ice cream, which felt insulting after charging such a high price. This is NOT what any reasonable person would call a buffet.

Our family of three had an unforgettable experience at borderlands! We stayed in a cozy wooden hut by the river, which was a unique and rustic accommodation option that we all loved. The rafting and canyoning activities were the highlight of our trip. The guides were very experienced and made sure we were safe while still having a great time. We loved the rapids and the stunning scenery around us.The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The food was fresh and delicious, and we enjoyed dining in the restaurant with beautiful views of the river. Overall, we highly recommend borderlands for families looking for a unique and exciting adventure in Sri Lanka.
