Acing the Indian Ocean, on a tranquil, stretch of isolated beachfront and backing onto the Ging River, are two Dutch styled guesthouses, which make up Villa Sunbird. Though only forty minutes from the airport and just over an hour from Colombo, this is an unspoilt part of the West coast. Guests can stroll down the beach, see the Catamarans operating and fishing boats pulling up their catch, or wonder along the river which runs past one side of the Villa with teeming bird life and water monitors.

One of the best villas to spend some quality time with your friends. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The food was good too. You have beach access and there is a pool at the villa too.

The rooms are beautiful in a rustic Italian style villa. Located right on the beach, it is a great place to rest for a few days. Our booking was misplaced, but fortunately, they had rooms available. So make sure you contact them prior to your arrival.

We had a great time at sun bird villa
We had a great time at sun bird villa on the 9th and 10th December 2024. Everything was very nice, rooms were clean and have to mention the staff was very friendly and the food was amazing. Great place to spend time with family and friends. We wished the pool was a bit bigger though. Other than that everything was perfect.

We had a great time during our recent stay at Villa Sunbird. The beach was just steps away, and the food was delicious. The staff were friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

Do not visit until these are fixed
Do not visit until these are fixed. When booking they say it’s fixed but it’s not. Completely ruined our mother’s bday stay. Dirty, things were broken, under staffed. My daughter got a rash after using the pool. I emailed to complain during the stay but all they would say is that they wil do better next time. Terrible!
