It was a unique experience staying in the tree house over night. You can experience the nature and learn a lot about it while talking with Channa. Dinner and breakfast were the best we had in Sri Lanka so far.

On the recommendation of my cousin and his girlfriend, we found this place through Airbnb. Our expectations were high after hearing their stories and seeing the photos, but the actual experience exceeded everything. It was simply AMAZING! The treehouse and the surrounding nature are breathtaking. Everything was built by hand by Channa and his friend. The fact that he named the treehouse after Usha says it all about their loving bond. Little tip: make sure to arrive before dark—you still need to cross the lake by boat and walk a short trail through the jungle, and trust me, you don’t want to run into an elephant in the dark! This was so much more than just a stay—it was a WONDERFUL, INSPIRING experience we’ll never forget!

The tree house and Dishan are just amazing. We had a great stay at Baumaus and were able to enjoy delicious food. The journey by boat, the location and the attention to detail in the tree house are breathtaking. Simply indescribable!!

We had the best time ever!!!
It started with a warm welcome and beautiful transfer by boat. Channa and his wife made us the best homemade bbq dinner and sri lankan breakfast we had in Sri Lanka so far. We spotted a lot of animals (bufalo, birds, lizards, rodents, monkeys,...) in the truly amazing scenery. Everything you need is available and clean: bed, shower + toilet, sink, charging station. I definitly recommend this stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the treehouse! We were picked up by boat and taken to our accommodation – a magical start to a special adventure. Even our luggage was transported for us. Channa took wonderful care of us and was a fantastic host. In the evening, he returned with a delicious meal, carefully prepared by his wife. Everything was perfectly arranged. It was a unique experience that we won't soon forget!
