We stayed one night here - and wish it could have been longer. A real gem in the city of Kandy. Amazing views overlooking Kandy from our balcony. We had a lovely four poster bed, and the colonial decor living room for guests was gorgeous. The staff were amazing and so genuinely helpful and friendly. The food was amazing - I opted for the Sri Lankan Curry, it was delicious but so so much - I hated leaving it. I highly recommend Elephant Stables and stay for more than 1 night, there is so much to see in Kandy. Thank you to all the staff.

We arrive to this hotel after my family and I got into a big car crash on our way to Kandy. We spend 1 week at Elephant Stables, as I recovery place, while visiting our family in the nearby hospital. The staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. They took amazing care of us while being extremely supportive of our situation. The great kindness of the staff made us fell at home and their attention to details made our recovery way easier. During our stay, my partner had to be urgently brought to the hospital at 4am. As some of the staff quickly woke up to call an ambulance and explain to the paramedics the situation, the chef, the manager and the maintenance staff brought my partner down the stairs and to the ambulance. One of the maintenance staff even came with us in the ambulance and stayed at the hospital to help us translate.

This hotel is indeed a hidden paradise, having a relaxing atmosphere with a serene pool area and secure environment. The most beautiful view I can remember from the pool area. This hotel felt like a natural home away from home. The staff was friendly and consistently made sure we were comfortable, food was absolutely delicious. My stay was perfect!

Place and tranquility at the top of one of the hills near the centre of Kandy. Nothing too much of a bother for the very helpful team. Food was very tasty with a daily set menu giving a great choice of local cuisine together with an a la carte for more western tastes.

This is a gem of a hotel...
This is a gem of a hotel. An intimate, peaceful escape, high up above the hustle and bustle of Kandy. Our rooms had stunning views and we were hosted beautifully by the team. I loved the juxtaposition between old colonial grandeur and the stylish modern design elements. Try an evening swim in the infinity pool looking across to the giant Buddha overlooking Kandy. And don’t miss the beautifully prepared Sri Lankan rice and curry feast!

One of the best places to ever be! The view and the location is great! The breeze ☺️ the rooms are an example of great architecture! The staff is great too! Their a la carte was extremely good! Everything we had there was great! Highly recommend this place! This is home away from home.
