Exactly what we needed.
What I loved most about this experience was that it didn't feel like just another camping or adventure package. It gave us the opportunity to experience Meemure at a much slower pace and get closer to the local way of life. From the moment we arrived, everything felt warm and welcoming, and having local meals prepared throughout the stay made the experience even more special. We spent the first day exploring the forest and making our way to Diyakaralla Waterfall, which was absolutely beautiful. After that, having somewhere comfortable to relax and simply listen to the sounds of nature was exactly what we needed.

Most adventurous parts of our Sri Lanka trip.
This was easily one of the most adventurous parts of our Sri Lanka trip. Meemure is such a beautiful place, and the itinerary gave us a great mix of exploring and outdoor activities without feeling too rushed. We started with a jungle walk through the forest and eventually reached Diyakaralla Waterfall. The walk itself was an experience, with streams, dense greenery and beautiful natural scenery along the way. But the real fun started on the second day at Suriya Arana. We tried stream sliding, swimming and confidence jumps, and it was honestly so much fun. The guides were there throughout and made sure everyone was comfortable and safe, which was especially helpful for those of us trying some of the activities for the first time.

Real escape from everyday life.
Our two days in Meemure felt like a real escape from everyday life. The journey started with a warm welcome and a delicious local meal before we headed into the forest. Walking through the jungle paths towards Diyakaralla Waterfall was one of the highlights for me. The surroundings were incredibly green and peaceful, and the waterfall felt completely wild and untouched.

Activities added a fun twist to the trip.
The hike to the waterfall was scenic and not too difficult, and the surroundings are just beautiful. The evening was definitely the highlight campfire, good food, and a calm environment. The next day’s water activities added a fun twist to the trip. It’s not just relaxing, you still get that bit of adventure. Also loved getting a glimpse of village life it adds something meaningful to the whole experience.

Such a refreshing escape from everything.
Such a refreshing escape from everything. Meemure itself is beautiful, but this camping experience makes it even better. The first day was a nice mix of trekking and exploring, and reaching the waterfall felt rewarding. The setup for the night was comfortable, whether you choose camping or a room. The BBQ dinner was really good and the whole atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. Day two was more fun-focused with the water activities. Sliding through streams and jumping into natural pools was something different and really enjoyable. What stood out most was the simplicity of everything — no rush, no noise, just nature and good company.

But the best part was the night.
This camping trip in Meemure was exactly what I needed. From the moment we arrived, everything felt peaceful and untouched. The traditional lunch was a great start — simple, fresh, and full of flavor. But the best part was the night. Sitting around the campfire, having BBQ, and just enjoying the quiet under the stars was something you don’t get in the city. It felt real and grounding. The next day with water activities like stream sliding and swimming was just pure fun. A perfect balance between chill and adventure.
